I'm working on a 2v2 arena team with a rogue partner and i sometimes see people with really high ratings gemming straight haste or spell power and sometimes people with the 10 haste and 13 spell pen or something gems.
Correct me if i'm wrong and this may be a repost but i think the way i gemmed is the correct way? hopefully my pvp gear is on in the link but if not it should be wrathful offset and titan forge shoulders and then 3 piece relentless and furious legs.

I just started gearing my shad priest 2 weeks ago. Was 5100 b4 my move to ally and is now 5800. my main question is Rawr shows me i need to now switch some gems around. such as all Spell Power in my boots, Sp. pwr/ spir on my gloves, and sp. pwr/ crit in the 2 pieces w/ sp. pwr/ haste gems.

Rawr sometimes suggests silly things when it comes to gemming.
All the spellpower/crit gems you have should be switched to spellpower/haste, the gem in your bracers should be pure spellpower, also the socket bonus on your staff might be worth gemming for. You should also gem spellpower/haste in your wand.
You can gem spellpower/spirit in your gloves if you got mana issues, the discussion whether or not to gem for +5 spellpower blue socket bonuses is rather academic anyway.

And get rid of Icewalker, you don't need the hit and Tuskarr's is just better for raiding ICC, also the SW:P Glyph is pretty useless, you are better of using Glyph of Dispersion for most fights or Glyph of Mind Sear for AoE spam fests.

And I think its about time to get a decent shoulder enchant!
And farm Abyssal Rune, its better than Nevermelting on bosses where you can't roll SW:P nonstop, and take a look at the Spirit/Haste Ring you can buy for Triumph-badges, its probably better than the Ony ring.

how about gems ? i have been thinking about how to get more haste ? but i also need way more SP :S life can be hard

SWP glyph allows you to not have to disperse for mana in most fights allowing you to continue dpsing. Also Lex, get an MH and OH as soon as possible, will give you a big spellpower boost.
You also shouldn't be specced out of improved mind blast since you don't have enough to haste for that to be an increase in dps for you.

Hi, can you please gearcheck me? I definitely need to upgrade my trinket / trinkets, my haste is really low and I also have around 130 frost emblems to spend (some advice what is the "best buy" now?) and I will be glad for every piece of advice i can get :)

Hai! ^^ Long-time reader and a first-time poster here. I was wondering if I could get a gear check on my shadow priest. I've been playing it for 1 month or so now as my main and I would like to know if I am doing everything alright and if there's anything I can change with what I currently have.

I've been really unlucky with trinkets or weapons so far. Also I am aware of my necklace that it's ment for healing but I won it when I was still healing and have yet to wait for something to drop that could replace it.

You're doing very, very well. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that necklace. Only thing I'd suggest for a very minor improvement is to put a SP/Haste gem in that rep ring and move the JC gem to a red socket.

- you're low on haste. its 10% lower then youre crit and needs to be a little higher. Not by much, those stats need to be balanced.
- You have 4 set T10 nice!
- You do have a lot of spellpower gems, you can change them for reckless ametrine to get youre haste up. Atm because of the 10% difference in crit and haste i would do that. Loosing a bit of spellpower is acceptable.
- youre hitcap is 289, so you are 11 hit over the cap. you can get rid of the icewalker enchant on youre boots and get tuskars. With the increased runspeed you can stand still longer during fights and that is what we need. We need to stand still to be able to cast.
- ow and with the frosties i would buy the hands. The T10 pants are a bit crappy and should be swapped out. So get the hands and saronites to get the nice crafted pants and boots.

That is me at the moment, I have a few pieces of gear that I can swap around with. I have the Nibelung from Normal 25 ICC. And thats about it. I also managed to get the Rod of Imprisoned souls from Normal ToCr which I keep forgetting to swap out my Igniter with.

I am aware that I am ridiculously over Hitcap, and havent found much in way of tanking it in favor of better stats. Willing to drop SW:P Glyph if I can get on some regular ICC runs, except, my GS is low (I dont follow GS much) and if I were to put on my higher GS items, id have higher GS, but I fear lower DPS. I have been trying to follow the BiS advice, and working on my rotation so as not to be a bad.

As for the Glove enchant, Rawr told me to change that, I did a doubletake, and am not sure if Its working better or not.

what was your previous gloves enchant? this one seems fine to me
shoulders, you should stick a sp/haste gem there instead of your red dragonseye, better put that one in a red slot.
decent enchants, you should try getting another wand, toc offers nice ones if your unable to get one from icc.
and simply try replacing items with lots of hit, with items that are increasing either haste or crit, haste would be nicer though

Gem, not enchant, sry had a tard moment there. Originally had a Red SP gem in there with no bonus. I think I followed the if its not +6, chuck in a Red SP gem advice I saw somewhere. But I think I need to up my haste a bit to catch up to my Crit.

Been playing with the BiS gearing, and its depressinig me. The Nibelung and Brimstone Igniter give me around 5.33 Gearscore, with my more optimal setup with more crit and haste, I sit at about 5.24 Gearscore. Now, I dont bother with gearscore, I dont care if you wear a toilet paper wedding dress, as long as things die before the tank runs out of hp, or the healer out of mana, but other people seem to thin Gearscore is the only way to determine value and worth of a raider (Mostly pugs I am talking about atm) Maybe I need to work on my roations some more and requeue for HoR to get my Shriveled heart to drop (I know I can lose the Batons hit rating in favor of haste with the Heart, but again, tanking Gearscore -_-)

Should I just rock up with the highest Gearscore pieces for the inspect, then when inside, swap to my more efficient gear?

It seems like I cant get past 6k DPS on Boss Dummy while according to maxdps.com I'm supposed to be at 6.3k.
I specced to skip MB from my rotation and lost around 300 dps so I went back again now and im stuck at 6k DPS.
Check me out and tell me what I need to do.
I know I lack alot of haste and I'm changing my feet enchant soon when I find a decent enchanter.
