Looking to see what I can do to up my DPS. I know on Fester I ate a goo and was concerned about spores which I should not have been. My VT Uptime was rather lacking. Any suggestions over all? Anything that stands out? I'm currently app'n to a guild and it was my first night raiding with them, so I was a bit nervous.

your gear sucks, a lot.

TBH your dps is a little low for your gear, but I'd chalk that up to the nerves and unfamiliarity of a new guild, as well as the fact that from your gear it looks like you had never seen about 80% of the fights they were doing that night. After a little while of raiding with them if your dps has stopped going up and you're still well below the pack then you can start to worry a bit.

LOL that's pretty brutal (but well received!:D ). So my gear is THAT bad? I didn't think it was that bad TBH. I know my trinkets/wand are horrid. Outside that, I didn't think my gear was all that poor. What exactly is it that provoked the "your gear sucks" comment if you wouldn't mind?

I'm 5 badges from my tier robes and I have a token sitting in my bags for the 264. I also have the Heroic 277 Plague pants in my bags when I get said robes.

The gear didn't look that bad to me (although yeah, trinkets are pretty awful).

About the log (looking at the Festergut log) - dot uptimes are a bit low (mainly really VT) as you've already noted. Also you aren't quite casting enough spells - MF + MB should account for a little over 50% of your damage (assuming good DoT uptimes). Yours only account for 46% of your damage, and thats with VT's damage being less than it should.

One other point is that you forgot to use your shadowfiend during the fight.

Interesting. I've removed IMP MB from my talent build and have been using MB very sparingly. I can't really recall that festergut kill, but I'm fairly certain I was spamming the hell out of MF. Could using the nochannel macro and latency be causing the reduced MF up time, putting to much time inbetween my MF's?

Nochannel macro could definitely reduce your dps, but this will depend on your latency. If its very low (50ms) then it shouldn't cause a problem, but as latency gets higher it will start to significantly reduce your potential dps.
